Fly Fishing - Gates of the Mountains
What to Expect:
The Gates of the Mountains is its own beast. This slow-moving stretch of the Missouri River is packed with some of the best trout fishing in Montana. The river winds through a massive limestone canyon, with cliffs so towering and close that Lewis and Clark famously described them as "gates."

The river provides ideal habitat for trout year-round, producing fish that will absolutely blow your mind. Jet boats are used to navigate the river, blasting up and down to reach only the most productive water. Spring and early summer are prime times to experience this legendary fishery, with wildlife and scenery that make every cast unforgettable.

You can expect the drag on your reel to be singing and your rod bent further than you ever thought possible while trout fishing.
It’s a one-of-a-kind adventure — nothing else in Montana compares — and a trip every angler needs to try at least once.
